Let's Show Jan Tallent How WRONG She Is!

From: Sharon Bray-McPherson
Date:

Dear Friend,

On Monday, January 07, 2008 an unusal spring-like weather system brought severe storms and tornadoes across several areas of the Midwestern United States. Unfortunately a fellow marketer and my best friend, Jan Tallent, was in the path of a storm that hit sections of Mid-Missouri.

While more fortunate than others that sadly lost family members or their entire homes and businesses, Jan's home did receive substantial damage when the storm ripped away a large portion of the roof (see pictures below). To make matters worse, because of a series of circumstances that have occurred in her life recently her homeowner's insurance was no longer in effect.

Subscribers to her well-known ezine, Rim Digest, are already aware that Jan's been going through a difficult time during the past 14 months with the death of her adopted father, a divorce and being forced to put the brick and mortar business that she's been operating for the past 4 years up for sale.

But something that most people do not know is that she's also had some alarming health concerns and is currently going through a frivolous legal action brought by someone whose only motive is to compound her turmoil. And although she's valiantly done everything she can to keep her offline business afloat, for quite some time now it has been the income she receives from Rim Digest Advertising that has been the bulk of her support for the store and her family.

However; the time has now come when mounting debt and previous necessary home repairs have made that income much less than is needed and in all honesty, Jan is just weeks away from losing not only her store to the repo man, but her car and home also.

Now before you dismiss this letter as just another "firesale sob story" to solicit your unwarranted sympathy and money, let me assure you it is not. Ask anyone who has known either of us for the past 8 years and they'll tell you that we always "shoot from the hip." Actually I've urged Jan several times over the past year to go public with the financial struggles she's been going through. But being the at times, exasperatingly stubborn, strong and fiercely independent woman that she is, she has refused.

And I think she's done so because she doesn't want to appear as a "burden" to her subscribers, who she truly does refer to, even in private, as "her beloved Rimmers". But even the mightiest Oak will bend if it is battered by enough storms, and this latest one has made her realize that although her faith and trust in God and herself is as strong as it has ever been, the time has come to ask for help from her friends in the Internet Marketing community.

The opening headline of this letter states that, "She's Always Been There When Others Needed Help" and no one knows that better than me, because it was through her concern for others that Jan and I met.

In May of 1999 my daughter went missing and since I operated my own safe list at the time I sent an announcement of her disappearance to the list. Out of 500+ subscribers it was Jan who took the time, even though we had never "met", to offer her support and several avenues of help that she was able to provide. And she continued to email me 2 and 3 times a day until thankfully my daughter was found safe almost a week later. Needless to say that was the beginning of what we call, our Sister-Soul-Mate friendship.

Since that time I've been to Missouri to visit Jan and her wonderful children on several occasions. I've seen for myself the light in her eyes and the honest caring on her face when she speaks of "her beloved Rimmers." I've also witnessed the pain she feels and the tears she sheds when one of them is in trouble.

She is always among the first to be there when a fellow marketer needs help, not just to let others know about it, but to give herself. And unlike a lot of others, she does so without expecting her name to be mentioned or a link back to her website to be published. When Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast in 2005, I know for a fact that Jan worked diligently online and off to raise funds for the relief and recovery efforts, for both those she knew online that had been affected by this terrible tragedy and those that she didn't know.

Even causes that most don't consider important, Jan does. I ask you, how many people do you know make regular donations to TinyUrl.com so that this small but essential resource can continue to be free for others?

And the many uncompensated hours that she spends with "Newbies" through instant messages, email and on the telephone, offers them the support and encouragement that they so desperately need, but are unable to receive from those who are "too busy" to be bothered.

Since opening her brick and mortar business Jan has not had the time to be as involved in day-to-day marketing activities as she once was and in my opinion, we have suffered for it. Not just because of the fierce run the rascals out of town stand she takes against those that are less than ethical among the industry, but also because without her charming LOL humor, honest-to-goodness sweetness and bubbly personality, we lost a lot of the sense of innocence, excitement and fun that marketing used to have.

The good news is that she's missed us even more than we have her and has decided to resume a full-time online presence as soon as things offline get settled. Much to my surprise, even with all of the lives she has touched and the many friends that she has online, as I was telling Jan a couple of the things that I intended to mention in this letter, she expressed doubt whether anyone would really be interested in helping her...and that my friend is where you come in. I'm asking for your help in showing my friend and a truly deserving person - how very wrong she is!

With what her friends fondly refer to as Jan's "Mother Hen" direction, she and I have put together a great package of products that you can claim as your own for the unbelievably low price of only $50.00. Unless marked otherwise, they all come with either resale, master resale or private label rights.

If $50.00 is out of your price range right now you can still help out by making a donation of any amount. When doing so you will receive one month's free membership in the JanRon Digital Club. As a member you'll receive immediate access to EVERY product in our inventory.

I want to thank you for your time and consideration in reading this letter and please know that any support you can show Jan during this difficult and trying period will be extremely appreciated and will not be forgotten.

Sincerely,
Sharon Bray-McPherson
