caramelsister71the dryness is a product issue. If your "moisturizing" product doesn't moisturize your hair then you need to try something else. Sleeping with a silk/rayon scarf should be something you should do anyways. Twists can hold really well for the first day however depending on how well the product takes to the hair then it can leave varying results. You can braid them every night if you want maintain the look. Consider changing product and protecting the hair at night.

Help!!! I have 4b hair, I have tried twist out they look good the first day but then they are dry and frizzy.... What can I do? Am I supposed to braid them every night or can I just put a bonnet on my head and go to bed. I used kera care products/curly buttercreme.

Thanks for sharing. I've really learned alot about my natural hair from you guys on here. I'm still hanging in here. It hasnt been easy seriously a few times if i had a perm with in reach natural would have been history, but since then i've learned alot about managing my natural hair. Thanks again!

That happens to me too. I use olive oil and leave-in conditioner after I wash and it makes my hair soft.

Anyone who knows...I don't use shampoos with sulfates, in fact, I use an all natural, moisturizing shampoo, and it STILL dries my hair out. Even after I deep condition, my hair still feels dry. Any suggestions?
