i said; without jimi hendrix's mother no one would've heard of jimi hendrix.what i meant with that is; exploremagic23 said that; without hendrix no one would know who this guy is.john frusciante isn't a great guitar player because he takes a lot of influence from jimi hendrix. if jimi hendrix never existed, john would still be a great guitar player, but just wouldn't sound like jimi. it's not the influence or style that makes a good guitar player, it's the things he creates with them.
