yep step climbing, and you really should take care of your bits, a cleaning from time to time will prevent resin buildup and keep the bearing moving freely, oh yea and no burning like where you started.

Actually, that is only a 1/4 round cut. A half-round cut is half a circle, as in a bullnose for example.

ur routing the wrong direction. The direction ur going is called step climbing. The bit used is called a round over bit.
