I think I have the perfect tool for texturing a live edge. I have a pneumatic needle scaler in my toolbox at work. It might be just the thing to create a random texture.

I certainly appreciate you re-posting that video and I know a few guys who would be interested in seeing it. I'll pass it along to them.In the opening sequence of this video you showed a picture of a dining table. The base looks similar to an iron base I saw on another woodworker's table and I've been curious about the style. Does it have a name? Do you have a plan on building that base? Thanks!
