Yes, there must be some sort of flame holder. I made mine from a Folgers Coffee Can. It doesn't take much, the ideas is to prevent the very fast moving air from blowing your flame out ... you want to "hold" it in a place where it won't melt things.

verey nice and simple you need verey littel devoloping{comp. chamber wight reduction+exhust cone,ext..}then fix air plane propeler in the front this will make it verey usefule.sorry for my spilling.
